While there are either five or six games left for teams, it’s important to note that we are past the halfway point of the season. And that means it’s crunch time in terms of playoff positioning.
Which teams are definitely getting in? Which are definitely not? And which are in the middle?
Let’s check out the playoff odds for every team at DraftKings Sportsbook as of Nov. 25, separated into six separate categories.

THE SHOO-INS
Patriots: Odds off board
Rams: Odds off board
Eagles: -20000 (bet $10 to win $10.05 total)
Broncos: -6000 (bet $10 to win $10.17 total)
Seahawks: -1800 (bet $10 to win $10.56 total)
What to know: It would take some pretty epic collapses for these teams to not make it to the postseason. The Pats (10-2) have the best record in the league, while the Rams (9-2) and Eagles (8-3) are not far behind. Each is favored to win its division, although the Seahawks (8-3) are only a game back of L.A. in the NFC West, and the two teams have one matchup remaining. The Broncos (9-2) are also well ahead in the AFC West.
THE ALMOST SHOO-INS
Colts: -700 (bet $10 to win $11.43 total)
49ers: -700 (bet $10 to win $11.43 total)
Buccaneers: -700 (bet $10 to win $11.43 total)
Bills: -600 (bet $10 to win $11.67 total)
Ravens: -450 (bet $10 to win $12.22 total)
Packers: -425 (bet $10 to win $12.35 total)
What to know: This group is shoo-ins, but not absolute shoo-ins. The Colts (8-3) have a one-game lead over Jacksonville (7-4) atop the AFC South. The Bills (7-4) and 49ers (8-4) would have the final wild-card spots in the AFC and NFC, respectively, if the postseason began today. Tampa Bay (6-5) is atop a bad NFC South division. The Ravens (6-5) have won five straight to take a narrow lead in the AFC North, and the Packers (7-3-1) are second in an ultra-competitive NFC North.
THE SHOULD-BE-GOODS
Lions: -350 (bet $10 to win $12.86 total)
Jaguars: -320 (bet $10 to win $13.13 total)
Chiefs: -220 (bet $10 to win $14.55 total)
Bears: -145 (bet $10 to win $16.90 total)
Chargers: -120 (bet $10 to win $18.33 total)
What to know: Here is where things get interesting. Each of these teams is favored to make the postseason, but that could quickly swing the other way. The Lions (7-4) are 3-3 in their last six and currently just outside the playoff bubble. The Jags are tied with two other AFC squads at 7-4 and are currently the sixth seed. Kansas City is 6-5, third in the AFC West and 10th in the AFC standings. The Bears (8-3) have won eight of nine and are atop the NFC North, but have remaining games at Philadelphia, Green Bay and San Francisco, and at home against Green Bay and Detroit. The Chargers (7-4) are second in the AFC West and fifth in the playoff standings, but have remaining games at Kansas City and Denver, and at home against Houston and Philadelphia.
THE ON-THE-CUSPS
Texans: +145 (bet $10 to win $24.50 total)
Steelers: +280 (bet $10 to win $38 total)
Panthers: +475 (bet $10 to win $57.50 total)
What to know: OK, so these teams have a chance, but they have a little bit of a hill to climb. The Texans (6-5) have the best defense in the league and are awaiting C.J. Stroud’s return from concussion protocol. They are eighth in the playoff standings, meaning just on the outside looking in. The Steelers (6-5) are tied with the Ravens atop the AFC North, but Baltimore currently owns the tiebreaker, meaning Pittsburgh is ninth in the playoff standings. The two teams still have two matchups left on the schedule. And the Panthers (6-6) are a single loss behind Tampa Bay in the AFC South, with two games remaining against the Bucs.
THE HIGHLY UNLIKLIES
Cowboys: +700 (bet $10 to win $80 total)
Bengals: +3000 (bet $10 to win $310 total)
Falcons: +3500 (bet $10 to win $360 total)
Vikings: +6000 (bet $10 to win $610 total)
What to know: These teams are probably not making the playoffs. The Cowboys are 5-5-1, and the rest are well below .500, meaning they would need to get hot right now if they have any hope of making it to or near the 10-win mark, which usually gets you into the postseason. The Bengals (3-8) are not completely out of the running. They are three games behind the AFC North-leading Steelers and Ravens, but have two games remaining against Baltimore and one against Cleveland, meaning the division title is (kinda) still there. Dallas most likely won’t win the NFC East, but it is only one game behind San Francisco in the loss column. S.F. is seventh in the playoff standings. As for the Falcons and Vikings, both are 4-7 and near the bottom of their respective divisions, meaning, like the Bengals, they would both need multiple division wins to have a chance at the postseason.
THE NO-SHOTS
Dolphins: +10000 (bet $10 to win $1,010 total)
Saints: +15000 (bet $10 to win $1,510 total)
Browns: +20000 (bet $10 to win $2,010 total)
Commanders: +30000 (bet $10 to win $3,010 total)
Cardinals: +40000 (bet $10 to win $4,010 total)
Raiders: +50000 (bet $10 to win $5,010 total)
Titans: +50000 (bet $10 to win $5,010 total)
Jets: +50000 (bet $10 to win $5,010 total)
Giants: Eliminated from playoff contention
What to know: Nothing to see here.
