Vegas Golden Knights Sign Pavel Moysevich to Entry-Level Contract – The Hockey Writers – Vegas Golden Knights

The Vegas Golden Knights announced on Monday that they have signed Belarusian goalie Pavel Moysevich to a three-year, entry-level deal. Moysevich, 21, dissolved his Kontinental Hockey League contract with SKA St. Petersburg on March 19, and was drafted by the Golden Knights in the third round, 83rd overall, of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.

In 2023-24, Moysevich helped SKA’s junior team lift their first Kharlamov Cup as Russian Junior League champions. He made noise in the KHL that same season, setting a league record for the longest shutout streak by a rookie goaltender. However, he has struggled since and could not repeat his performance in 2024-25 despite starting 18 games for SKA. This season, Moysevich has appeared in only ten games, all for SKA-VMF, SKA’s farm team in the Russian second-tier league.

Standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 190 pounds, Moysevich sports a massive frame and likes to play deep to challenge shooters. He saw action in 31 games in the KHL, recording a combined goals-against average of 2.45 and a .912 save percentage. However, he failed to find common ground with SKA’s head coach, former NHL legend Igor Larionov and did not suit up for any KHL games this season.

As the KHL playoffs just started, Moysevich’s move could offer him precious ice time in the final stretch of what might have been a disappointing season. The Minsk native can now compete with Carl Lindbom and Cameron Whitehead, both 22, for starts with the Henderson Silver Knights, Vegas’ American Hockey League affiliate. Lindbom, in particular, has been outstanding for the Silver Knights, but Moysevich’s size and experience may be an interesting option for the team.
