The Cowboys (6-6-1) have shown improvements, particularly on defense, since the trade deadline but are on the verge of another lost season. Star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, after exiting Week 14 early with a concussion, will be back on the field and looking to lead the charge in a must-win game.
Meanwhile for Minnesota (5-8), hopes of back-to-back playoff berths faded weeks ago in a year that hardly resembled the magical 2024 season. However, the remaining games still serve a purpose as an ongoing assessment of the team, most notably second-year QB J.J. McCarthy and his developing chemistry with star WR Justin Jefferson and the offense.
